If you want to make trading a full time career, you must treat it as any professional would in any career. View trading as a business rather than just a hobby and your entire emotional level will change. Manage your risk as would any CEO of a company would. Try to decipher the noise of the market and make the noise work in your favour.

Here are steps that would help you achieve your goal as a full-time trader

1) Identify your initial startup capital and How you should manage your money.

2) Execution and trade management counts

3) Document every single trade to track your performance over time

4) Know that being a professional requires constant training and education

5) Understand what sort of trader you are. Your style of trading ascertain the kind of stocks and markets you should be involve in. Be it options, forex, stocks or futures.

6) Trade only when you are mentally and psychologically strong. Your mind and body must be at its top condition when making critical decisions, which risk large sums of money.

7) Above all what is your exit strategy. With all business an exit strategy is important. In the case of trading, how much drawdown are you going to allow yourself before you step back for a breather.
